France is a private Iranian oil

Sunday Iran wanted a quick resumption of nuclear talks with major powers, while announcing the shutdown of its oil sales to France and Britain in a symbolic gesture that meet the latest European sanctions. Tehran "wants an early resumption of negotiations and expects the answer" Group 5 +1 (United States, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany) to the letter sent Wednesday by Iranian negotiator Saeed Jalili in the Chief European diplomacy, Catherine Ashton, said the Foreign Minister, Ali Akbar Salehi. Salehi has recognized the need to "find a mechanism for a win-win for both parties" to avoid another failure, after the negotiations in Istanbul in January 2011. "We understand the position of the other party and want to give him the opportunity to save face, " the minister added without giving details. Negotiations have so far foundered on the refusal of Iran to focus solely on the Iranian nuclear program, as well as a five and have always wondered that Ashton reiterated in a proposal for resumption of discussions in October sent to Tehran. The European and American leaders have reserved a first cautious welcome but rather favorable to the Iranian letter, which they say has "no preconditions" and constitutes "an important gesture. " The U. S., Israel and several Western powers are concerned, despite denials from Tehran, a possible military dimension to Iran's nuclear program, sentenced by six UN resolutions including four with sanctions unilaterally later strengthened by Western countries. A high-ranking delegation of the International Atomic Energy Agency is expected in Tehran on Monday for a visit, the second in less than a month, intended to try to clarify the gray areas of Iran's nuclear program, according to the IAEA, maintain doubt on its real objectives. "We hope to achieve concrete results of this visit. Priority is of course possible military dimension to Iran's nuclear program but we want to address all important issues, " said the head of the Vienna IAEA inspectors, Herman Nackaerts. Meanwhile, Iran has announced the closure of oil sales to France and Britain, who lobbied strongly in favor of including the decision by the EU in January to stop all purchases of raw to Iran by summer. "The oil sales to the British and French companies have stopped, " said the spokesman of the Oil Ministry, adding that Iran would "give (its) oil to other customers. " This measure, rather symbolically, should not directly affect both countries. France has received in 2011 some 58, 000 barrels of oil per day from Iran-barely 3% of its consumption, mainly in the outstanding payment due to old contracts total, while Great Britain has practically ceased purchases. However it sounds like a warning than a few big customers in Europe, mainly Italy, Greece and Spain, which Tehran has threatened to stop supplying in response to the embargo imposed by the EU. According to the International Energy Agency, Italy imported in 2011 some 185, 000 barrels per day of Iranian oil (13% of its imports), Spain 161, 000 bpd (12%) and Greece 103, 000 bpd (30% ). Second OPEC countries, Iran produces 3. 5 million bpd and exports about 2. 5 million, of which less than 20% to Europe and over 70% to Asia. Besides the oil embargo against Iran gradual, the EU countries have agreed in January to sanction its central bank to drain the funding of its nuclear program.
